Assemblies

Our plays are performed in-the-round, to create an even greater intimacy and flow of imagination between the actors and the audience. We perform our shows with minimal sets but with LOTS of fun PROPS and COSTUMES. Each play includes plenty of audience participation!! All shows are approximately forty minutes in length.

Fussy McBotherFussy McBother by Joanne Green and Will Martin
Everyone has days when nothing seems to go their way. But, if you're a bird named Fussy McBother, every day is like that! Fussy complains SO much, he's even forgotten what makes him so special in the first place - that he can FLY!! Until the Lovely Miss Lively appears on the scene, that is. With her brimming optimism, Miss Lively gets Fussy to start singing a new and happy tune!

Turkey ManThe Mayflower, the Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving by Michael Palladino
A highly amusing and informative look at the journey of the Mayflower and the Pilgrims' first Thanksgiving celebration, as told by a typical American family, a French teenager, a Sports announcer, a hairdresser and a Yorkshire terrier!!! And let's not forget the all-time audience favorite . . . TURKEY MAN!!!


Incredible InventorsIncredible Inventors by Joanne Green and Connie Loughlin
From Alexander Graham Bell to Albert Einstein and the Wright Brothers, this wildly entertaining play examines the courageous risk-taking behind some of our nation's greatest inventions. The play will also take a look (with an audience panel quiz!) at some of our lesser known inventors. (Do you know who invented POPCORN??) The show concludes with a fabulous improvisational ending where some of the audience members will get to become inventors themselves.


Great WomenGreat Women Throughout History by Rebecca Pomeroy
In this freewheeling and funny romp through history, a magical time machine allows Amelia Earhart to have tea with Georgia O'Keefe, while Louisa May Alcott and Madame Curie find themselves shopping in a mall! These are just two of the delightful scenes that will entertain and inform young audiences of any age. Other appearances include Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks, Annie Sullivan and Betsy Ross. There is also a special MYSTERY GUEST that children everywhere are sure to love!


Men Who Dared to DreamMen Who Dared To Dream: Stories of Martin Luther King Jr., JFK and FDR by Brian Mcnab
This moving and uplifting play follows the life stories of three extraordinary American leaders who changed the political and moral landscape of our country. Students will participate in peace marches and feel what it is like to be asked to 'move to the back of the bus.' Audiences of all ages will be inspired and moved, as they are reminded of the brave and bold messages of hope and peace that each of these men offered to a turbulent nation.


Christmas GenieChristmas Genie by Alan Katz
Drawing inspiration from the classic Dickens tale, "A Christmas Carol" and the heartwarming film, "It's A Wonderful Life," this hilarious and touching take includes both original music and classic holiday music! Audiences will laugh and cry as they follow the story of how one zany Christmas Genie and three Spirits help a young girl to rediscover what it means to give freely from a full heart.
